Chantel "Grada Love" Walker is a poet, author, certified therapeutic art life coach, and a co-founder of the DMV Renaissance Awards, which is an organization that celebrates local poets in and from the DMV area. As a poet and artist, she uses her gifts to evoke conversations with compassion by providing a unique, empathic perspective on life. In 2019, she published her first chapbook of poetry titled Brave New Soul. Ms. Love has been featured at BusBoys and Poets, Pure Poetry DC, and on WUSA9’s Great Day Washington. Her arts programming seeks to form a sense of community and compassion in order to encourage healing.
